Most memorable moment in capoeira: The day one of my best friends became a 1st degree Mestre (Mestre Paulo), also when Mestre Paulo, Mestre Hugo and I went to Mozambique for the first time and walked into the most amazing roda. That’s the night I met Mestre Joazinho (The man is amazing on a bau).

Capoeira has become a large part of my life, it has given me great frienships, goals, challenges and mostly, given me substance! I think we all feel the same that once Na Dance de Luta is in your blood and you hear the sound of the berimbau and you fellow Capoeiristas are providing amazing axe’…. there is NO better feeling! I may be and instructor of Capoeira but I will forever be a student!
