Casa da Capoeira Knysna hosts the first grading of 2011!

Yip, thats right! CDC Knysna will be hosting the first official grading/batizado for 2011.

The schedule for the grading is as follows:

Friday 1st April 6:00pm – 10pm

Workshops and Roda with Mestre Paulo (CDC Johannesburg)

Saturday 2nd April

10:00am – 12:00pm : BJJ workshops with Coach Marlon Baptista from MMA Tapout Acadamey Knysna

4:00pm- 8:00pm : Workshops and Roda with CM Espirrinho from CDO

Sunday 3rd April

10:00am-12:00pm : Workshops with CM Espirrinho followed by Batizado and open Roda run by Mestre Paulo and Professor Bem Te Vi.

Professor Bem Te Vi has arranged for provisional accomodation at Abalone guest lodge in Knysna , but you are more than welcome to arrange their own ? Accomodation is set at R200 per person per night check out the website or drop them a mail at info@abalonelodges.co.za and be sure to reference the capoeira group to get the special rate. All visiting Mestres and instructors have been confirmed and so far at least 10 students from CDC JHB have booked and confirmed for April. Professor Stavros has made provisional bookings for 26 capoeiristas including the CDC Cape Town guys , so if you’re planning on coming and enjoying the workshops and festivities you best book soon!

The Whole theme is Brazilian hence Capoeira being main focus , also a intro of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu (BJJ) and then obviously the Batizado.

Venue for workshops is the ” Brenton on sea ” recreational hall for all the Capoeira activities and then at Inspire gym entrance just above Vida E Cafe at Knysna mall , main road.
