Nzinga Mestres to visit Mozambique!

Hey guys

Three Nzinga Mestres: Janja, Paulinha and Poloca; and three treineis (senior senior capoeira students): Denis, Daniel and Manô, will be visiting Nzinga Capoeira in Mozambique this month.

The event will take place at the Escola Industrial and Casa da Cultura do Alto-Maé (both in the central area of Maputo), as follows:

18/12/2009 – Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00, at Casa da Cultura Enrollment Introduction of groups  Class: building a berimbau Presentations of Xitende (diverse groups), a Mozambican instrument which may have originated the berimbau. Opening Roda

19/12/2009 – Saturday, from 10 to 17, at Escola Industrial Class: movements of capoeira. Class: rythms of capoeira and other brazilian rythms. Debate on the leadership in groups of capoeira.

20/12/2009 – Sunday, from 10, at Escola Industrial Class: movements Class: rythms. Closing Roda. Party

All classes will be delivered by the mestres and treineis. The price is completely symbolic at Mt 150. It includes a t-shirt and lunch during the days of the event. Greater enrollment contributions will also be accepted.  The accomodation is an issue to be discussed.
