Win Free Capoeira Classes for a month with Casa da Capoeira!
Hi Guys
In an effort to try and spice up the content on the website, as well as to help you all to get to know our family in Brazil a bit better, we will be starting to do profiles on the various Mestres in the Associacao de Capoeira Barrevento.
These profiles will be of a similar nature to the student profiles that we already have going on a monthly basis but will be more serious and capoeira orientated. As such, we would like YOU to send us your suggestions for questions that you would like to hear the Mestres respond to. This is the perfect opportunity to get the info that you have always wanted to know but just haven’t been able to in the past – language is a big barrier for most of us!
How can you win?
All you have to do is propose a question that you would like us to include in these interviews/profiles as a comment at the bottom of this post.
The author of the best question will win a months class card for classes at the Stoneridge Class in Modderfontein valued at R 310.00! The competition closes on Friday 3 September 2010 and the winner will be announced on Wednesday the 8th of September 2010.
*The judges decision is final.
*The prize cannot be transfered to another class and is not redeemable for cash.
*The class card is valid for 8 classes over four consecutive weeks from the date of the first class attended.

Great Initiative guys!
Happy to be part of this one!!! Tattoo’s Question is: What is the greatest life lesson you have learnt in your Capoeira Career?
Com muito Axe!
Do you feel that some of the historical and traditional elements of capoeira have been lost or neglected as it has grown in popularity and become more ‘commercialised’ around the world?
This is a question from a true beginner… Would you suggest that someone works on gaining some strength training before attending classes or is it best for them to dive right in and build the strength needed as they go along?
A question for Mestre Bogado, and Mestre Alipio, i.e. all the Mestres that have 30+ years
What about capoeira has kept you going in it this long?
Sting’s Question:
Whats the one thing you should never do in a roda?
Sting’s Question 2:
What makes capoeira special?
Thanks to everyone that took the time to leave a comment on the post. The competition is now closed and the winner will be announce in the Stoneridge class on Wednesday 8 September.
